We define space by the amount of visual light: darker areas are perceived as larger compared to areas with plenty of light. The table itself, when lit, appears to become much deeper than its 1″ depth when perceived normally. Bolts are intentionally set above the internal space of the table, emphasizing the depth of the table’s space. Outer edges are wrapped in welded bicycle tire tubes for protection and border.
